Artificial Intelligence (AI) AI-powered tools can help artists explore and develop their creative work, but navigating the ethical ramifications, competing technologies, and dehumanizing aspects poses a serious challenge. This strikeWare Art Collective Masterclass ws designed to explore, explain and exploit these ever-changing technologies. Participants critically examined the threats and opportunities AI platforms impose on human creative expression.
In this workshop participants learned fundamental skills working with new media technologies, including extended-reality hardware, virtual environments, and digital image manipulation that you can take back with you to the classroom. They also learned how to use AI tools to stimulate their students’ creativity, rather than obfuscate it. The goal is for educators to leave more able to navigate the treacherous ethical landscape in a world that will increasingly incorporate these advanced technologies.
